Introduction

Join us for the spring Outdoor Education for All (OEFA) Stakeholder Forum, part of our ongoing biannual series held each April and October. These gatherings bring together partners, providers, and community leaders who share a commitment to expanding outdoor learning opportunities for youth and families across our region.

Building on the progress and insights from previous years—and the discussions from our October 2025 forum—this session will focus on advancing OEFA’s next strategic plan, refining our collective direction, and strengthening marketing and outreach efforts that connect more people to the outdoors. Together, we’ll carry forward lessons learned, celebrate accomplishments, and identify new opportunities to collaborate and grow.

Fall Partner Forum

OEFA Stakeholder Forum

For more than 20 years, Outdoor Education for All (OEFA) has been navigating the river of bringing outdoor education to Butte County. Along the way, partners have joined us for stretches both long and short—helping create programs that connect young people with the land, build resilience, and foster a lifetime bond with the places we steward.

Now, as the river winds forward, we’re calling an “eddy out”: a moment to pause, celebrate our progress, gather strength, and chart the course ahead together.

Why Attend?

The OEFA Stakeholder Forum is an opportunity to:

  • Celebrate the successes and lessons learned from programs like Healing Trauma Through Nature (HTTN) and Elements.

  • Hear directly from partners such as Forebay, Expanded Learning, Chico State, and others who are helping shape the outdoor education landscape.

  • Learn how OEFA’s field trip programs, excursions, and adventure opportunities are coming together into a coordinated, county-wide network.

  • Connect with current and future partners, share ideas, and explore ways to bring your expertise into the work.

This forum draws its inspiration from the 2019 OEFA Youth Symposium and carries that energy forward. Beginning this year, we will gather twice annually (October and April) to ensure the conversation continues and grows stronger with each season.

Whether you’ve been paddling with us for years, or are just now stepping onto the riverbank, your perspective and energy are vital to shaping the future of outdoor education in Butte County and beyond.

Join us for this next leg of the journey.
